Lees verder.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h1><strong>CBAM: waar staan we nu?<\/strong><\/h1>\r\nVanaf 2026 wordt het voor importeurs verplicht om een CO\u2082-heffing te betalen voor bepaalde ge\u00efmporteerde goederen. Dit gebeurt via het Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).\r\n\r\nCBAM is een EU-instrument dat een eerlijke prijs moet zetten op de CO\u2082-uitstoot van ge\u00efmporteerde producten. Het doel is om <em>carbon leakage<\/em> te voorkomen: het verplaatsen van productie naar landen met minder strenge klimaatregels.\r\n\r\nImporteurs van onder andere staal, aluminium, cement, kunstmest, waterstof en elektriciteit moeten kunnen aantonen dat zij hebben betaald voor de bijbehorende CO\u2082-uitstoot. Dit gebeurt door het aankopen en overleggen van CBAM-certificaten.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Huidige stand van zaken<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nSinds 1 oktober 2023 bevindt CBAM zich in een overgangsfase.\r\nTot en met 31 december 2025 geldt:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Verplichte rapportage van CO\u2082-emissies<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Nog g\u00e9\u00e9n financi\u00eble heffing<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nVanaf 1 januari 2026 wordt deze rapportage gekoppeld aan een financi\u00eble verplichting: het aankopen van CBAM-certificaten op basis van de gerapporteerde emissies.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Huidige vereenvoudiging voor kleine importeurs<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nSinds 2025 geldt een belangrijke vereenvoudiging binnen CBAM:\r\nimporteurs die minder dan 50 ton CBAM-goederen per jaar invoeren, zijn vrijgesteld van de verplichting om CBAM-certificaten aan te schaffen.\r\n\r\nDeze maatregel is ingevoerd om de administratieve lasten voor kleinere bedrijven te beperken, terwijl de kern van de CBAM-regeling behouden blijft.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nCBAM brengt nieuwe administratieve en financi\u00eble verplichtingen met zich mee. Importeurs moeten emissiegegevens correct rapporteren en vanaf 2026 kunnen aantonen dat de verschuldigde CO\u2082-kosten daadwerkelijk zijn voldaan.\r\n\r\nBongers Customs Services ondersteunt bij de juiste verwerking van CBAM-gerelateerde douaneformaliteiten binnen het importproces.\r\n\r\nRegelgeving verandert.
